Rugby:The route all the way to the Heineken Cup final will become clearer on Sunday after organisers (ERC) confirmed the semi-final draw will take place at the same time the last eight line-up is known at the conclusion of the pool stages.

Semi-final draws for both the Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup will be televised live on Sky Sports following Sunday’s game against London Wasps and Toulouse at Adams Park. The draws will take place from 5.30pm approximately.

Leinster have already booked their place in the quarter-final draw with one pool game to spare, while Ulster need an away win against Aironi on Saturday to reach the knockout stages for the first time since 1999 when they won the competition. Munster failed to get out of the pool stages for the first time in 12 years.

If Leinster or Ulster advance to the last four - and if they secure home draws - then all roads would likely lead to the 50,000 Aviva Stadium. However there is a whole lot of rugby to be played before those scenarios need to be considered.
