Rugby:England centre Shontayne Hape has been cited for an alleged dangerous tackle during London Irish's Heineken Cup defeat at home to Edinburgh on Saturday.

Citing commissioner Yves Thieffine has reported Hape for an alleged infringement on Edinburgh back row David Denton during the first half of his side’s 20-19 loss.

Hape’s case will be heard on Thursday at European Rugby Cup’s headquarters in Dublin.

Also cited after that match is Edinburgh’s Sean Cox, who had a running battle with Hape for much of the game.

Cox is alleged to have struck Hape in the second half during a fractious clash on the opening weekend of European action.
