AIL Division One:Clontarf will face first-placed Cork Constitution in the AIB League Division One semi-final next weekend after whitewashing Dungannon 50-0 at Castle Avenue with a seven-try haul.
Right wing Michael Keating got them underway with the first of two tries after 15 minutes and Darragh O’Shea converted.
Openside flanker Niall Carson touched down under the posts after half an hour, while the third came courtesy of substitute centre Conor Keegan two minutes before halftime for a 19-0 lead at the break.
Niall O’Brien got another after the restarted. O’Shea converted and added a penalty to put the game well out of reach before.
O’Shea scored a try of his own after Keating got his second and Phil Howard capped a sterling performance at the death.
Dungannon’s future lies in Division 1B.
The other semi-final will see Shannon, who beat Dolphin 27-17, take on Garryowen after they hammered Galwegians 54-5.
Con beat Ballymena 54-23 at Temple Hill, while at the other end whipping boys Terenure were beaten 11-58 at Lakelands by local rivals St Mary’s.
At Dubarry Park, Buccaneers beat Belvedere 22-16, while Blackrock beat UL 30-19 at Stradbrook.
Young Munster narrowly edges by UCD 14-17 at Belfield.
