Ballynahinch 28 UCC 21:County Down's Ballynahinch have completed a rare quadruple by securing the All-Ireland League Division Two title with a seven point win over UCC at Dooradoyle.

Despite being without captain Stuart Lamb the northerners came from 21-12 down to beat the table-toppers, recording their 16th win on the bounce in the process, and adding to the Ulster Senior Cup, Ulster Senior League and AIB Cup.

Cork drew first blood with a sixth minute try from centre Ivan Dineen, for Gavin Dunne to convert, but parity was restored seven minutes later when fullback Jonny Cullen crossed and Ryan Bambry notched his opening points of the day.

The teams traded tries again when hooker Wayne Falvey touched down for UCC and winger Aaron Ferris jinked in at the corner in response to make it 12-12.

UCC outhalf Dunne then took it upon himself to inflict some damage with a drop-goal and two penalties for a nine point lead but they would be the last for the students.

Bambry closed the gap with a penalty just before the break

Hooker Neil Hanna continued the comeback three minutes into the second half and a Bambry penalty soon followed to move ‘Hinch in front.

They sealed the win with a stunning try from centre Nevin Spence, who received the ball in his own half, dodged two tacklers and sprinted home to seal the win and complete an impressive haul of silverware.
