The game went one way and then the other before Roe sent over the decisive score in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

Niall Murray converted a penalty to hand St Declan’s an early advantage, but two goals each side of the break (St Declan’s led 1-4 to 1-2 at the interval) put St Benildus ahead for the first time.

With five minutes left two frees from Jack Caffrey followed by an Eoghan McMahon goal had swung the pendulum once more. But St Benildus twice tied proceedings before Roe landed the winner from just inside the 40.
