Mike Tyson is set to fight early next year at the site of his boxing ban. Shelly Finkel, who claims to be Tyson's adviser, claims the fighter will return in January in Las Vegas, the same city where Tyson bit Evander Holyfield's ears in June last year.
Finkel did not mention a specific site or date, but the MGM Grand is reportedly interested in bringing Tyson back with January 16th a possibility. As for an opponent, Finkel said: "We're looking at the Axel Schulzes, the Francois Bothas, the Vaughn Beans - somebody like that."
Schulz, Botha and Bean are capable fighters but are not knockout punchers, which is in their favour when they are considered a possible opponents for Tyson.
They have good records and have title fight experience - they are much more acceptable than Tyson's last comeback opponent, the spectacularly unknown Peter McNeely, who lasted all of 89 seconds in 1995.
The former champion, however, still faces a December trial on misdemeanour assault charges stemming from a traffic accident in August in Maryland.
