Racing News and previewMichael Kinane is set to move his attention across the Irish Sea to Goodwood on Saturday, where he will be reunited with the Sussex Stakes runner-up Nayyir.
The Gerard Butler-trained horse is being aimed at the Group Two Totesport Celebration Mile over the same course and distance on which he was just beaten in the Group One Sussex.
Nayyir failed by just a neck to Soviet Song and is one of the leading fancies on what is one of his favourite tracks. The horse has twice won the Lennox Stakes over seven furlongs there.
Kinane, who won the Mile on Among Men seven years ago, could also be engaged by Butler for one of his two entries in the Listed March Stakes, Compton Bolter and Jagger.
Before that the Irish champion jockey will complete the four-day festival at Tralee this afternoon and he looks a significant booking for Albrighton in the two-mile handicap.
Kinane has a fine record when teaming up with Noel Meade and, crucially, Albrighton has a good career record when faced with testing conditions.
He first announced that in Ireland when streaming through in a handicap at Sligo two years ago and followed that up off a 15lb higher mark at this festival just weeks later.
That win came off a mark just 1lb lower than he has now but even though he hasn't started since a Punchestown chase in April, Albrighton's proven liking for soft ground is a big plus.
