An epic renewal of the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes takes pride of place on a terrific card at Ascot today and Rakti is fancied to cause an upset of sorts.

The Michael Jarvis-trained five-year-old is very headstrong and is his own worst enemy at times. But there is no doubting he has bags of ability and is very interesting dropped back to a mile for the first time.

His performance over 10 furlongs in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at the Royal meeting was nothing short of breathtaking and the sky looked the only limit for him at that trip afterwards. He he has not lived up to that in two runs since but there have been excuses and now is the time to keep the faith.

Ace, who is progressing at a rate of knots and is held in the highest regard by Aidan O'Brien, looks the danger.
