Charlie Redmond, with the backing of his club Erin's Isle, is appealing his four-week suspension to the GAA's management committee. Redmond was suspended by the Games Administration Committee last Tuesday after he got sent off in the All-Ireland club football semi-final against Castlehaven last Sunday week.

Redmond's appeal will have to be heard before March 17th, the date of the All-Ireland final between Erin's Isle and Corofin.

Noel Walsh, outgoing chairman of the Munster Council, has formally announced his intention to run for the GAA presidency next year. Walsh was a declared candidate in the last GAA presidency race, but withdrew in the weekend before Congress.
