Tramore Racecourse to undergo €1 million redevelopment

Waterford track receives €400,000 development grant from Horse Racing Ireland

Tramore racecourse is to undergo a €1 million redevelopment after Horse Racing Ireland approved a capital development grant aid of €400,000 to improve the facilities at the track.

The 40 per cent grant will be used towards a number of projects up until 2020, with the Waterford course to receive a number of upgrades.

The redevelopment is set to improve the raceday experience for spectators, with a new entrance building, an extension to the parade ring and a refurbishment of the middle grandstand.

There will also be improvements made to the weigh-room, jockey’s facilities and press room as well as improving the stable yard.
