John Oxx should have success with Born To Be at Fairyhouse

Ground conditions expected to be a big factor for the €50,000 Blenheim Stakes

It's no surprise that John Oxx has tasted success this season with the progeny of Born To Sea, and a son of the trainer's 2012 Irish Derby runner-up, Born To Be can secure a valuable Listed success at Fairyhouse on Tuesday.

Just seven line up for the €50,000 Blenheim Stakes including a pair from Ballydoyle and two from Ger Lyons’s stable. There is also an English raider in the mud-loving Haydock winner, Moonlit Show.

Whether Born To Be will relish heavy going is debatable but there was ease in the ground when he won his maiden at Cork in early August.

The Ballydoyle colt Leo Minor sets an official standard of 98 here so Born To Be will have to have improved since his Cork effort.

Snow Falcon is an intriguing runner in the final handicap off a mark of 92. However it is over a mile and a half which could be on the short side for Séamus Heffernan's mount and he has to concede a lot of weight to Easy Pass.
