ROWING:Sanita Puspure moved into the semi-finals at Henley Royal Regatta yesterday, but the Queen's University four exited the Visitors' Cup after a spirited performance against Durham University and the Belfast crew of Chris Beck and Andy Boreman were well beaten in the double sculls.

Puspure (30), who will represent Ireland at London 2012, beat Pippa Whittaker easily in the Princess Royal, the open event for women’s scullers.

The Visitors’ quarter-final was a much closer race. Queen’s led by a length after 500 metres, but their heavier opponents powered past them and won by three lengths.
