The PGA of America today announced dates for the 2008 Ryder Cup when it will be played at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky from September 19th-21st.
Before that though, there is the small matter of the bi-ennial team event coming to Ireland for the first time this September (22nd-24th). Legend Arnold Palmer designed the course to be used at the K-Club, while the 2008 showdown in Louisville will be played over a course designed by none other than Jack Nicklaus.
Over the years Valhalla, which opened in 1986, has hosted the 1996 and 2000 USPGA Championships and the 2004 Senior PGA Championship.
