HOCKEY:Two goals from Arlene Boyles against Ards on Saturday have all but sealed a 10th successive Ulster title for Pegasus, one that is likely to be mathematically clinched over the next three weeks, writes Mary Hannigan.

Ards equalised Boyles' first-half short-corner strike early in the second period but the former Irish captain got the winner nine minutes from time to give Pegasus their eighth league victory in a row.

Only the bottom four in the Leinster first division were in action on Saturday, with the bottom two, Clontarf and Trinity, drawing 1-1, and Three Rock and Corinthian playing out a scoreless draw.
