Patrician College, Newbridge, overcame St Benildus in the opening round of the Leinster Colleges SFC at Newbridge yesterday. Newbridge never looked back after a Kevin Murnaghan goal gave them the lead and St Benildus found scores hard to come by and were limited to frees by Vincent Corley. Newbridge progressed to an interval lead of 1-3 to 0-1. John Tinsley rounded off Newbridge's win with their second goal.
