Originally from Southampton - and like Oliver Dingley also qualifying for Ireland via her grandmother, who was from Northern Ireland - Watson started out as a successful gymnast before turning talent to diving with considerable success. A World and European Junior finalist in 2018, she re-located to Dublin's National Aquatic Centre to pursue her Olympic goal, sealing her place at the Games at the Diving World Cup in Tokyo in early May to become Ireland's first female Olympic diving representative.
