The Irish Senior Cup (ISC) takes centre stage on Saturday with eight matches in round two of the competition tipping off around the country and two All Ireland League matches scheduled for Sunday.

At Grange Road the club mood will be sombre before Three Rock Rovers begin their cup game against Ulster side Cookstown.

The sad passing of Dorothea Findlater (nee de Courcy Wheeler) on Monday brings to an end a distant era in the Rathfarnham-based club as well as a pavilion membership that lasted for over 50 years.

A former Irish international player and the oldest woman in Ireland at the time of her death at 107 years, her passing will touch many at the club, among them her grandson Stephen and son John, both very active members.

Rovers, third in the league table with Cookstown second from the bottom, face a double header weekend with Cork C of I travelling to Dublin on Sunday afternoon for the Grange Road meeting. The Cork team will have played ISC in Kilkeel the previous day.
