Legend-of-our-time Alan McLoughlin is up for sale after being transfer-listed by Wigan last week - we're hopeful that the National Museum of Ireland will snap him up and put him on display so we can worship at the foot that scored THAT goal in Windsor Park when we were young.

Tranmere, Wimbledon and Coventry are the latest clubs linked with Steve Staunton who's still looking for a new home after Liverpool gave him a free transfer while Coventry are also said to be showing an interest in Blackburn's Lee Carsley, putting in a £2.5 million bid for the midfielder last week.

Not for the first time there's talk of Mark Kinsella upping sticks and leaving Charlton, this time to Southampton.
