JOSE MARIA OLAZABAL is out of the US Masters, his manager, Sergio Gomez, confirmed yesterday.
Masters champion two years ago, the 30 year old Spaniard has not played tournament golf since last September because of arthritis in both his feet.
"He is improving, but very, very slowly and the next target now is the Turespana Masters in Valencia at the end of April," said Gomez.
The arthritis is in three joints on his right foot and two on his left, and the former Ryder Cup star is on medication and having daily treatment from the physiotherapist at the Real Sociedad football club in San Sebastian, his home town.
