British Open champion Mark O'Meara, left, will be aiming to repeat his success on English soil when he, world number one Tiger Woods and John Daly represent the United States in this year's Alfred Dunhill Cup at St Andrews.

Woods will be making his debut in the competition while Daly, who won the 1995 Open Championship at the same venue, has played only once before.

O'Meara has represented his country in the cup on five previous occasions including 1996 when America won it for the third - and last - time.

The players selected to represent the other 15 countries playing in this year's competition will be announced at the beginning of September.
