Drogheda Utd - 1 UCD - 0: Drogheda United were full value for this hard-earned single goal victory over a dogged UCD side at United Park on Saturday evening. Declan O'Brien's 13th league goal of the season proved sufficient to earn another three points for the Boynesiders and maintain their push for European football next season.

The only goal of the match came in the fourth minute and it was textbook stuff as Drogheda swept from defence to attack in a matter of seconds to score.

Paul Keegan raced on to a clearance on the right and knocked the ball crossfield into the path of Glen Fitzpatrick. He laid it off to O'Brien who cracked his shot home from 10 yards.

United always looked like adding to their tally but they failed to create another clear goal chance.
