The constant manoeuvring at the top of the ESB League looks set to continue this weekend. Notre Dame are on court twice and have the chance to go into joint first but one of their opponents, UCD Marian, are also in a position to take a hold of the lead.
The two Dublin clubs meet tomorrow at the National Arena and the home court is just one advantage for Notre Dame. Both sides have only four losses to date and even though UCD Marian have a nine-game unbeaten streak, Notre Dame should have the greater depth and experience.
On Sunday, Notre Dame host Limerick - currently in joint third although with two extra games played. When the sides met in October, Notre Dame were comfortable winners and with Limerick's top scorer Cleotis Brown currently out injured, Notre Dame should again take the points.
But pole position is most likely to stay with Killester. Tomorrow, they host Tyrone - who are currently one place from the bottom - and even with a number of absentees because of flu and Jerome Westbrooks out with a calf injury, Killester are likely to prove superior.
Tomorrow's live TV game (TG4, 5) features a Waterford team that continues to slip down the table. The Saints, their opponents, are also in joint third and both teams will be looking to keep their title hopes alive.
The women's league was more or less decided last weekend with the Wildcats' win over defending champions Tolka Rovers.
