The IRFU has agreed, at a special meeting yesterday, that the structure of the All-Ireland League from 2008/09 will remain a competition of three divisions consisting of 16 clubs in each divisions.

The next review of the AIB League structures will take place after a minimum of two seasons (2009/10). The decision was taken following a widespread consultation and review process, including the views of all of the constituent clubs participating in the competition.
