THE announcement yesterday that a team from New York will represent the US in the FBD Milk Ras, which starts on Saturday week, means that there will be riders from all the continents in the lineup.
There are individual entries from Australia and New Zealand and the American team will join Japan, South Africa, Germany and Britain to take on the best of the Irish.to complete the international field.
A Mexican, Oscar Lobo, leads the New York selection. He won two stages in last year's Tour of the Adirondacks. With him will be Morgan Stebbins, Bill Emmerson and Jason Gould.
Former professional Stebbins was second in this year's New York spring classics championship Gould is the district time trial champion and won a stage in the Tour of the Dominican and Emmerson was runner-up in the US masters road race championship last year.
