Former International Valerie Hassett set a new course record for the Ardee course during the recent Irish Senior Ladies golf championship. Hassett, who now plays off three out of Ennis and Lahinch took first place with a 74. And she had six shots to spare over Monica O'Conor (Naas) in second place with Mary Crummie from Dundalk in third place on 82. Phylis Woods, a 19 handicapper who is a member of both Forrest Little and Ardee, won the nett prize with 68.
