Carlow  0-12; Waterford  0-11 A point with the last kick of the game by Johnny Nevin earned Carlow their first league points yesterday at Dr Cullen Park.

By the end of the third quarter the visitors were 0-10 to 0-7 up and, with the game entering injury time, Waterford were clinging to a one-point lead.

But in the 70th minute substitute Mark Dowling landed the equaliser and in the dying seconds Stephen O'Brien set up Nevin for the winner.
