CORK SFC SEMI-FINAL: Nemo Rangers 2-13, Clonakilty 0-10:NEMO RANGERS dethroned champions Clonakilty to reach their ninth Cork SFC final in 12 years after an impressive victory at Páirc Uí Rinn last night.
The winners now meet either St Finbarr’s or Carbery Rangers in the final.
Nemo, chasing their eighth title in 11 seasons, dominated the second-half and a brilliant 39th minute solo goal from Cork star Paul Kerrigan put them 2-9 to 0-6 in front and effectively ended Clonakilty’s hopes.
Nemo were 1-6 to 0-6 ahead at half-time after the sides were level three times in a keenly-contested opening quarter.
The goal came after 22 minutes following a super cross-field pass by David Niblock to Peter Morgan, who found the inrushing Alan Cronin and his finish capped a memorable move.
Nemo duly pulled away in the second half to ensure their place in the final, where they will be hot favourites to regain the title.
