Galway United v UCD

Don O'Riordan looks set to be forced into at least a couple of changes as a result of Llewelyn Riley's decision to return home to Barbados after just one game and the knock received by Bobby Ryan in last week's defeat by Cork City.

Ryan expects to be out for a couple of weeks due to the ankle injury he received, but while Scott Morgan also took a bit of a battering down at Turner's Cross the full back is confident that he will be okay for this evening's game.

Sean Malee, who replaced Ryan on Sunday, is likely to start on the right tonight while Ollie Keogh will probably partner Eric Lavine up front. If Morgan does miss out then Colin Fortune is one possible replacement at left back.

Having finally broken their losing streak UCD will almost certainly be unchanged for the visit to Terryland Park although manager Martin Moran will be looking a sustained improvement after the draw against Rovers and, ideally, all three points.

Shelbourne v Cork City

The league champions are virtually at full strength for the visit of Cork City with only summer signing Jim Crawford still expecting to be sidelined by an ongoing back problem.

Even the availability of players presents its problems, though, with Dermot Keely now having to decide whether to play two or three up front against a side who might just be finally discovering a bit of form.

After making his debut last week in Derry, Avery John will also be pushing for a start this evening although the Shelbourne boss has indicated that he may wait another while before throwing the defender back in from the start.

City's only serious concern is Stephen Napier who aggravated a calf strain during the warm for last Sunday's game against Galway which he subsequently missed.

As it happened, Fergus O'Donoghgue did well at left back and so Derek Mountfield is unlikely to be too put out if he has to stick with an unchanged starting 11 tonight.
