With normal improvement from that introduction, he should be capable of getting off the mark now.
Murtagh is also a significant booking for the John Murphy-trained Liss Ard in the 14 furlong conditions race.
On some of his form, the six-year-old would be a short priced favourite for a race like this, although the good novice hurdler Clopf and the ex-Andre Fabre trained Infinite Charm are interesting opposition.
Crazy Volume returned to action with a good second to Honoured Guest at Limerick and will be fancied to go close in the fillies maiden.
However, she is drawn on the wide outside and a value alternative could be Navajo Moon, representing the in-form David Wachman, who should step up from her Curragh debut on this fast ground.
