Mount Sion as expected advanced to the final with a comfortable win over Ballyduff of Kerry at Walsh Park.

The Waterford champions appeared to play for the most part in low gear, particularly after breaking through for two early second-half goals. Mount Sion led by 0-11 to 0-7 after a low-key first half, but quickly extended their advantage. Ballyduff goalkeeper John Carroll made some great saves but could do nothing to prevent substitute Barry Browne and man-of-the-match Eoin Kelly finding the net within 90 seconds to leave the winners 2-12 to 0-8 ahead after 36 minutes.

Tony Browne sent over a point after 41 minutes but his side failed to score for the next 17 minutes during which the Kerrymen notched three points through Bobby Sullivan (two) and Pa Rourke.

Then after Sullivan answered another Tony Browne point, Kelly finished the scoring with a late goal.
