Despite trailing by eight points midway through the second half, Moate Community School fought their way back for a place in the Leinster senior football semi-final with a four-point win over St Mary's of Mullingar in Tubber yesterday.

After holding most of the possession in the first half, St Mary's led 1-6 to 0-4 at the break, including the opening goal from Colin White. However, with Nigel Adamson in superb free-taking form and a late goal from substitute Paul Hynds, Moate eventually prevailed.
