Willie Mullins’s star could only finish fifth in a Grade One contest over two miles behind Realt Dubh and was taken out of some ante-post lists for Cheltenham on the back of that.

Mullins is pondering his options for Mikael D’Haguenet and said: “He’s in the Arkle at Leopardstown (Sunday week) and in the PJ Moriarty (February 6th). I’m not sure which he might go for. I’ll have to think about it.”

Mikael D’Haguenet is among 15 entries left in the Moriarty, which will be one of the main support events to the 21st Hennessy Gold Cup on the same day – 18 horses remain in the Hennessy, including the Lexus-winner Pandorama.
