FormeR international Liam McNamara won his eighth Woodbrook Club Championship in the past 20 years when he had two shots to spare over Jim Geraghty. After a none too impressive 75 in the opening round, McNamara - who is manager of the Senior Cup and Barton Shield teams - bounced back with a level par 72 and a 36 holes total of 147, two better than Geraghty, who had rounds of 71 and 78. Tom Kennedy was third on 150 (76 74).
