Irish referee Dave McHugh will officiate at the France-Wales Six Nations Championship match next year.

He is the only Irish referee who will take charge of a match. Both McHugh and Alan Lewis have been chosen to run the line in other games.

South Africa's Jonathan Kaplan will preside over Italy v Ireland and Wales v Ireland.

Scott Young (Australia) referees Ireland v France, Paul Honiss (New Zealand) Ireland v England and England's Chris White Scotland v Ireland.

The Student Rugby European Championships begin next week. The tournament has been confined to one team from Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, France and Italy.

Dublin University are Ireland's representatives and they host one of the two pools next week. On Monday, Trinity take on the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC) at College Park (2.15).

On Wednesday, UWIC meet Dundee University at the same venue (2.15), while on Friday Trinity complete the pool with a game against Dundee (11.0).
