Ken Doherty stormed back from 5-2 down to force a deciding 11th frame against Nigel Bond in the Regal Masters snooker quarter-finals in Motherwell last night. But after securing a 38-0 lead the world champion failed to double the third last red, and eventually lost 6-5.

"I'm playing well enough," the Dubliner said, "and not too worried by this defeat."
