MAYO SFC: Knockmore 0-13 Crossmolina 0-9: FORMER NA Fianna player Kevin O'Neill kicked nine points to help Knockmore secure a place in the Mayo SFC final at the expense of John Maughan's Crossmolina at McHale Park yesterday.

Time, it would seem, has finally caught up with an ageing Crossmolina side who managed to stay on level terms at the break, 0-6 each.

But Knockmore improved after the interval to book a final place against Castlebar Mitchels or Charlestown. Castlebar beat Shrule-Glencorrib 1-8 to 0-8 in yesterday’s quarter-final replay.

Scorers: Knockmore:K O'Neill 0-9 (seven frees), G Gaughan 0-3, A Kilcoyne.

Crossmolina:C McDonald 0-4 (three frees), B Benson 0-2, P Gardiner, S Kelly and I Rowland (0-1 each).
