Irish International Ken Kearney enjoyed a dramatic play-off victory in the Letterkenny Senior Scratch Cup over the weekend. Played over 36 holes, the Roscommon man needed three holes to see off the brave challenge of first round leader David Jones after the two tied on 133. The City of Derry player had led after the first 18 holes, shooting a 66 to lead by two overnight from Kearney. However, Kearney overturned the two-shot deficit on the second day to force the play-off and then went par-birdie-birdie to clinch the title.
