Racing Preview: Jamie Spencer's determination to hang on to his clear early lead in the jockeys table is shown by his presence at Killarney this evening for one ride.
Spencer is on Karramalu for Daniel Mark Loughnane in the mile and a half handicap and the booking alone for the Gowran maiden fifth looks significant.
Despite going into last evening on the 19 winner mark for the term, seven clear of his nearest rival Michael Kinane, Spencer remains a 5 to 4 second favourite with Cashmans to pick up his first jockeys title.
Kinane heads the betting on evens while the former double champion Pat Smullen is the only other contender at 4 to 1.
The other mile and a half race is the claimer which looks a match between the Listowel winner Hollow Quaill and Jockser who won on the heavy at Tipperary. Hollow Quaill comes out slightly ahead at the weights but Jockser might be the more progressive of the pair.
The Colm Murphy-trained Golden Alliance is worth another chance in the mares maiden hurdle after encountering firm ground on her last start while the Punchestown runner-up Glacial Moss looks the bet in the bumper.
