Ireland completed an impressive second day at Emirates Dubai International Sevens by winning the Bowl final with a 27-19 victory over Morocco. Derek Hegarty, Aidan Kearney, James Topping and Matt Mostyn scored Ireland's tries and Gavin Duffy landed two conversions and a drop goal. Ireland reached the final following a dramatic 19-17 win over Wales who scored a late try but missed the conversion.

In the Trophy final, New Zealand defeated their habitual opponents Fiji 38-12 in the final while in the Plate final South Africa with a late penalty try edged out Argentina by 14-12.

DUBAI SEVENS - Emirates Bowl: Morocco 12 Georgia 7, Canada 38 Kenya 7, Wales 19 Hong Kong 12, Ireland 41 Arabian Gulf 17. Semi-finals: Morocco 14 Canada 10, Ireland 19 Wales 17. Final: Ireland 27 Morocco 19.
