IRISH Colleges continued their dominance over Irish Universities with a comprehensive 18-9 win at College Park yesterday.

Irish Universities went in front early through a penalty from UCD out-half Richard Ormond and he then doubled his side's score with a kick from just outside the 22.

Irish Colleges responded through Conor Mahony to reduce the arrears before Ormond once more restored his side's six point cushion.

However, with a strong Munster contingent in the pack, Irish Colleges' soon took control. Number eight David Shanley then drove over for a well deserved score.

Another try from scrum half Shane McCarty then left Irish Colleges 13-9 up at the break and midway through the second half a burst of pace from Cork Constitutions Barry Everett sealed a well deserved victory for the College's side.
