MOTOR SPORT:Irish champion Eugene Donnelly and British champion Mark Higgins, in Subaru WRCs, will slog it out over the Sperrins stages for the Ulster Automobile Club's International Easter Rally, the replacement for the Circuit of Ireland, writes Brian Foley.

Run out of Derry on Easter Saturday and Sunday over 12 stages in the Sperrin Mountains, the event has attracted only 60 entries, plus an additional 100 in the National Rally which runs after the main event on both days.

Donnelly's luck ran out on the last stage of the Galway International and he is determined to beat Higgins who leads the Global International Tarmac Championship.

Friday: UAC, International Easter Rally, ceremonial start, Derry, 6.30pm. Saturday: UAC, International Easter Rally, starts Derry, 9.0am. Sunday: UAC, International Easter Rally, re-starts Derry, 9am; Co Kildare MC, Motor Racing, Mondello Park, noon.
