Finn Harps - 2 Bray Wanderers - 4: Already relegated, Finn Harps slumped to their 22nd defeat of the season when they lost to Bray Wanderers at Finn Park last night
Harps did create the first opening, Conor Gethins seeing a lob over the advancing Bray goalkeeper Pat Hannigan land on the roof of the net.
However, Wanderers, who had early efforts from David Tyrell and Wayne Byrne saved by Harps netminder Gavin Cullen, took the lead on 13 minutes. Tyrell floated in a corner and the Harps defenders failed to pick up an inrushing Colm Tresson, who crashed the ball home from close range.
Stephen Fox then hit the post in a lively opening quarter while, at the other end, Fintan Bonner was thwarted by Hannigan.
Bray doubled their advantage on 31 minutes when Cullen tugged down Fox and Byrne slotted home the resulting penalty. But Harps got a lifeline before the break, Kevin McHugh producing a neat flick to set up Gethins, who neatly tucked the ball beyond Hannigan.
Tresson got his second and Bray's third on 46 minutes when he headed home a Fox cross. The Wicklow side then made it 4-1, Fox finding the target after he latched on to a Philip Keogh cross on 56 minutes.
Finn Harps reduced the arrears almost immediately when Michael Funston scored from 20 yards with a cracking effort, but the home fans will be watching first-division soccer next season.
