Romanian gymnast Andreea Raducan lost her fight to get back the Olympic gold medal stripped from her for failing a drugs test after she took a pill to cure a cold. A three-person panel of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said it had dismissed Raducan's appeal and ruled that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) was right to disqualify her "as a matter of law and in fairness to all other athletes".
