St Patrick's Navan 8 Mount Temple 6Fullback Jack Grant was the hero of the hour when he popped up on the left to sprint over for the match-winning try in the 59th minute of this Leinster Schools Section A Duff Junior Cup final at Donnybrook yesterday.

The rain and wind did little to help two enthusiastic teams that tore into each other right from the start. Mount Temple enjoyed territorial superiority but they could only strike penalties from centre David Kenny-Gains and outhalf Eoin Connolly to make it 6-0 at the break

St Patrick's had the better of possession thereafter, and a penalty from number eight David Clarke's left three between them.

It looked like Temple might hold out until Grant swooped late to outflank the cover.
