Christy Roche has decided to give Good Man Again a quick reappearance at Kilbeggan tonight and the move looks likely to pay off in the three-mile maiden hurdle.
The odds-on Downpatrick bumper winner ran at Sligo on Wednesday in the hurdle won by Brendar and looked to be a real contender before he was brought down at the third last.
That clearly had little effect on Alan Crowe's mount and he is taken to get the better of the Roscommon bumper winner Mac Three, who represents the Noel Meade-Paul Carberry team.
Another Roche runner with a similar profile is Oaklawn, who goes in the two-mile maiden hurdle after a third to Hannon at Sligo on ground that turned very soft.
It should be a better surface this evening and that can swing it in favour of Oaklawn against the Dermot Weld-trained Time To Roam, who ran off 65 on the flat last time.
The firm going at the Galway festival was not ideal for Snob Wells behind Loyal on the flat and this time conditions should suit the Meade horse better in the handicap hurdle.
Barry Geraghty and Edward O'Grady are fancied to team up successfully with Short And Sweet in the opener, and although Spike Cooney has ground to make up on Galway form in the Beginners Chase his chance can't be ignored.
