Camogie Round-up/Galway 1-8 Tipperary 0-4: Galway won their first All-Ireland intermediate title when they beat Tipperary 1-10 to 0-4 in Semple Stadium on Saturday.

Trailing by 0-1 to 0-3 at half-time, the second half belonged to Galway. They scored some fine points from Aoife Lynskey (two), Emma Kilkelly and Cathy Bowes, before Susan Keane set up centre forward Brenda Hanney for their goal with three minutes remaining.

Meanwhile, Marie O'Connor and Eileen Fitzpatrick were the heroes with two goals each as St Lachtain's of Freshford, Kilkenny, overcame Dublin side Good Counsel by 4-14 to 0-2 in yesterday's Leinster club championship final.
