Mohill climb mountain as Keith Beirne engineers comeback

Glencar/Manor suffer third straight defeat in Leitrim SFC Final

Full forward Keith Beirne led a brilliant second-half comeback from Mohill as they consigned Glencar/Manor to a third straight defeat in the Leitrim SFC Final in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Glencar/Manor led by 0-8 to 0-6 at half-time but Mohill levelled 12 minutes after the interval thanks to Beirne, who converted a '45', and Daniel Beck pointed from play. Ronan Kennedy put Mohill ahead for a second time when he shot a 46th minute point.

During the next two minutes Beirne, who finished with seven points, increased the Mohill advantage to three when he split the Glencar/Manor posts from play and a free.

Glencar/Manor points by James Glancy and Aaron Hickey reduced Mohill's lead to the minimum by 50th minute but they held out to win.
