Thurles to host hurling quarter-final double-bill

back in Thurles on Sunday week in a double-bill which also sees Cork taking on Galway in the All-Ireland hurling quarter-finals at Semple Stadium.

The winners of the Dublin/ Waterford clash will face Leinster champions Kilkenny in the semi-final with Tipperary awaiting Cork or Galway in the last four.

In football, Tyrone have seven days to recover from their victory over Meath before making the 600-kilometre round trip to Thurles to play Tipperary in round 3B of the qualifiers.

"All you can hope for is a home draw and after two in a row our luck has probably run out, even though we only had about three out of 20 before that," said Tyrone manager Mickey Harte.

Galway, after winning away to Armagh on Sunday, have a six-day turnaround but do have the advantage of hosting Derry in Pearse Stadium.

In round 4A, Fermanagh and Westmeath play at the neutral venue of Breffni Park in Cavan on Sunday week with Kildare meeting the losers of Saturday's Munster final replay between Cork and Kerry.
