Quigleys to the fore as Roslea defeat Belcoo in Fermanagh final

Brothers Seamus and Sean hit a total of 1-10 between them to dash Belcoo’s dreams

ROSLEA 1-12 BELCOO 1-9: Roslea crushed Belcoo's hopes of a first ever Fermanagh SFC title yesterday with Quigley brothers, Séamus and Seán, hitting 1-10 between them in Brewster Park.

Belcoo, appearing in their first final in 25 years, hit the first three points but a missed penalty by captain Paul McGrath in the 48th minute proved crucial.

With James Sherry outstanding in midfield and all three Quigley brothers starring at both ends of the field, Roslea recovered from a bad start to win their third Fermanagh title in four years.

Gavin Leonard put Belcoo 0-4 to 0-1 ahead after 14 minutes, but they blew a great chance to go six points clear when Johnny Feeley hit the post with the net gaping.
