That’s all from me for today’s live blog. What a day of football; Saturday was a hard act to follow, but Sunday lived up to it. There’ll be match reports and plenty of other coverage of the whole weekend’s action on irishtimes.com in the next few days. Seán Moran’s report will be up shortly.
The draw for the preliminary quarter-finals will be held on Morning Ireland tomorrow at 8.35am. Some big hitters in there - Donegal, Galway, Dublin, Kerry.
So, it’s Tyrone, Meath, Monaghan and Armagh who are straight through to the All-Ireland quarter finals. Who saw that coming?
Group One
Tyrone - 4 points (quarter-finals)
Donegal - 4 points (preliminary quarter final)
Cavan - 2 points (preliminary quarter final)
Mayo - 2 points (out)
I’m still shaking after that finish. That is so so cruel on Mayo. Donegal were ruthless at the end there; from Shaun Patton grabbing the ball at top speed to beat the hooter with only ten seconds left, to Ciarán Moore opting to drive right at Mayo’s defence. There was no material difference for Donegal between winning and drawing that game, but it made all the difference for Mayo.
Full-time: Tyrone 0-31 Cavan 0-18
Full-time: Donegal 0-19 Mayo 1-15
70 Mins: Fergal Boland! From distance, cutting across it! It’s level! But now here come Donegal, at full pelt. The hooter has gone, but Ciarán Moore doesn’t care. He breaks Mayo’s hearts! Mayo are out! Donegal 0-19 Mayo 1-15
69 Mins: Tyrone up by twelve. Mayo going out as it stands, with Cavan qualifying to the preliminary round. Tyrone 0-29 Cavan 0-17
67 Mins: Save by Patton! The goalkeepers are playing incredibly here at the end of this game. Advantage was given, so O’Donoghue points a free after. Donegal 0-18 Mayo 1-14
65 Mins: SAVE BY REAPE!!! Oh my word! Looked a certain goal, Reape was racing back after Patton’s kickout bypassed him in midfield. Somehow he kicks the ball away from McBrearty. Murphy nails the 45′; Jordan Flynn got the point before that for Mayo. Donegal 0-18 Mayo 1-13
63 Mins: Another wide by Mayo, this time from Paddy Durcan. Then Murphy makes a glorious fetch in the midfield from the kickout. It looks like it may be Donegal’s day now. Donegal 0-17 Mayo 1-12
63 Mins: Cavan have four scores in a row, but it looks a bit too late now. Tyrone 0-26 Cavan 0-17

53 Mins: Conor O’Donnell misses a good opportunity off his right foot. Brendan McCole makes a super block on O’Donoghue. The Mayo man tries to level the scores again, but that breeze doesn’t help him and the shot drops short. Donegal 0-13 Mayo 0-12
51 Mins: Goal chance for Mayo, as Shaun Patton stop Jack Carney’s attempt. Langan was under pressure and went back to his own half, but O’Shea was waiting right at the border to meet him and set Mayo off on the counter. Mayo recycle and McHale gets a good point to keep the scoreboard ticking. Donegal 0-13 Mayo 0-12
48 Mins: Donegal breach the three-up rule, and Ryan O’Donoghue opts for a one point free as the penalty. Donegal 0-13 Mayo 0-11
46 Mins: Double scores in Brewster Park. Tyrone 0-22 Cavan 0-11
46 Mins: Lovely score from Conor O’Donnell, as he shimmies, gets space against Hession, and then points off his left. Ciarán Moore then sidefoots over another from the kickout. Donegal 0-13 Mayo 0-10
44 Mins: A good lay off from O’Shea and Dawson has the courage to go for a point on his left. His second of the day. Donegal 0-11 Mayo 0-10
41 Mins: Three points from McCurry put Tyrone nine to the good again. Tyrone 0-20 Cavan 0-11

48 Mins: GOAL for Wexford. Limerick still have the lead at the Gaelic Grounds. And then they increase it with another goal by Neville! Limerick 4-13 Wexford 2-15
Here’s Seán Moran’s report at half-time in Roscommon:
Advantage Donegal at half time in Roscommon. They lead 0-9 to 0-6 after a brisk finish to the half with points from Conor O’Donnell and Finbarr Roarty gave them their biggest lead to date. Their pace on the counter troubled Mayo although they limited the damage. Donegal helped. Peadar Mogan had a goal opportunity opened up by Michael Murphy’s pass in the fourth minute but shot over. Mayo themselves were prone to ponderous attacks and regularly ended up being turned over. They were quite efficient with shots though and led for phases. A Murphy two-point free got Donegal in front in the 24th minute and they didn’t lose that lead. With Tyrone all but out of sight, Mayo need to raise the tempo in the second half.
Half-time: Tyrone 0-17 Cavan 0-8
Late point from Finbarr Roarty just before the hooter. Mayo had missed another two point opportunity at the other end.
Half-time: Donegal 0-9 Mayo 0-6
34 Mins: Tyrone nine in front after a two-pointer from Rory Brennan, and points by McCurry.
32 Mins: Patient play by Donegal is rewarded as Oisín Gallen drives into a gap in the defence and points. O’Donogue holds off Brendan McCole to chip over a point at the other end, but Conor O’Donnell gets in for one right after. Donegal 0-8 Mayo 0-6
30 Mins: A Paddy Lynch two-pointer brings the gap to five in Enniskillen. Tyrone 0-12 Cavan 0-7
28 Mins: Ryan O’Donoghue drops a long range effort well short. Then Langan goes on a mazy run for Donegal, but puts his effort wide. Donnacha McHugh sticks it over off the left boot, reducing the gap to a point. Donegal 0-6 Mayo 0-5
Kieran Thompson’s free kick has Donegal two in front now. Donegal 0-6 Mayo 0-4
Half time: Limerick 3-8 Wexford 1-14
24 Mins: Paddy Lynch and Cormac O’Reilly point for Cavan, but the gap is still seven. Tyrone 0-11 Cavan 0-4
22 Mins: Mogan is back on now. Mayo got three unanswered points in that period where he was off. Donegal have a free on the edge of the arc, and Brickenden is yellow-carded for a high tackle. Murphy puts it over for a two pointer. Donegal 0-5 Mayo 0-4
19 Mins: Niall Devlin and Mattie Donnelly put Tyrone further ahead. Tyrone 0-9 Cavan 0-2
34 Mins: Goal for Wexford in the Tailteann quarters. Sean Nolan raises the green flag. Limerick 3-8 Wexford 1-14

15 Mins: A Niall Morgan two-pointer and a Matthew Donnelly point have Tyrone three points ahead of Cavan. Then Peter Harte adds another two-pointer. Tyrone 0-5 Cavan 0-2

Here’s team news for Tyrone, who face Cavan in Enniskillen.
And here is Cavan’s lineup; no updates on changes yet.
Seán Moran is at Dr Hyde Park for Mayo vs Donegal:
Sun’s out at the Hyde for the crucial Group One contest between Mayo and Donegal. Mayo likely to need something from this if Cavan lose to Tyrone. They make two changes to the starting 15. 53 Mins: Pat Havern drives a super point over, his 11th today. He’s down getting treatment now. Monaghan 2-18 Down 1-21

Only two teams dropped out of the championship after yesterday’s All-Ireland group phase action, but there was plenty of drama. Dublin survived Derry’s challenge to put the Oak Leaf county out, while Cork had to battle for a two point victory over Roscommon, who also slipped out of contention.
The biggest shock of the day came as Meath beat Kerry by nine points in Tullamore. That win qualified the Royals for the quarter-finals, while the Kingdom will face a preliminary quarter-final next week. Armagh can also look forward to a quarter-final berth, despite a loss to Galway in Breffni.
After a shock defeat to Cavan, Mayo rallied in their last game against Tyrone, and will need a similar performance today against Ulster champions Donegal. With Stephen Rochford currently at the helm, Malachy Clerkin looks forward to today’s main event.
[Stephen Rochford the right man for Mayo with the season on the line]
4 Mins: Clare vs Cork is underway in Semple Stadium. Cork’s early goal coming through Cormac Deane. Clare 0-3 Cork 1-1
The throw in for the All-Ireland minor hurling semi-final between Cork and Clare is just a few minutes away. In yesterday’s semi, Waterford beat Kilkenny by three points, so it will be an all-Munster All-Ireland final regardless of today’s result.
Louth are stuck to the bottom of the table in group three, but have a chance to get out of the group against Clare today. The Banner are also without a point from their opening two games. For Louth, the goal will be to avoid being the first provincial champion to be knocked out in the group phase of the All-Ireland, as Ian O’Riordan writes.
It’s another day where ‘permutations’ is the key word. It will be especially important for group one, where all four teams are tied on two points. Here’s Muireann Duffy’s explainer of how the groups could work out.
